Technical Specifications

HTC090B at a glance

Capacity
50 W/°F (watts removed per °F of cabinet-to-ambient ΔT)

BC0217E prints 90 W/°F in the HTC090 header but tabulates 450 W at ΔT 9 °F, 900 W at 18 °F and 1,080 W at 21.6 °F — 50 W/°F, and every other HTC’s table matches its header. Until VoltAire confirms which figure is right, we size the HTC090 from the tabulated outputs.

Model Number Decoded

What does HTC090B mean?

H T C 0 9 0 B
  • H = Heat exchanger
  • T = Telecom series (telecom)
  • C = Counter Flow configuration
  • 090 = 90 W/°F capacity designation — sized at its tabulated 50 W/°F; see the capacity note above
  • B = 48VDC input

Where HTC090B Fits

Best applications for this model

HTC090B is sized for cabinets where the internal heat load is in the range that 50 W/°F can move at your available temperature differential. As a quick rule of thumb, multiply 50 by your ambient-to-target ΔT to get the maximum heat load (in watts) this unit can handle. For example, at a 20°F ΔT this model removes 1000W; at a 30°F ΔT, 1500W.

Watch: Cross Flow vs. Counter Flow

Common use cases

5G macro-site cabinets, BEAD broadband fiber huts, edge-compute enclosures, mid-size process control panels.

Voltage fit

Direct connection to −48V telecom plant . No inverter required. Battery-resilient cooling.
